Trip Introduction;
Annapurna Circuit Trek
is one of the most popular treks in the world. Located in the central part of Nepal, the Annapurna Circuit Trekking trail offers a sensational trekking experience for both beginners and experienced trekkers. The trek goes through terraced rice fields, dense rhododendron and leafy pine forests to arid landscapes, deep and narrow canyons, isolated hamlets, mountain villages and with spectacular views of Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri Mountain Ranges of Nepal. Rare and endangered species of wild animals such as Snow Leopard, Blue Sheep, and Musk Deer can be spotted along the trekking trails within the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) – which is the largest protected biodiversity area in Nepal. During the trek, we also will get opportunity to meet and interact with local people from different ethnic tribes such as Gurung, Brahmin, Chhetri, Magar, Manangi, and Thakali. Another highlight of the trek is that we head towards one of the most challenging high alpine passes – Thorong La Pass at 5416 meters from where we can get mesmerizing views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Chulu West, Chulu East, Chulu Far East, Khangsar, Tukuche and other snow capped peaks bordering to Mustang and Dolpo region of Nepal.

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition starts at Kathmandu. After spending a full day sightseeing around the world heritage sites of UNESCO inside Kathmandu, we will take a scenic drive towards Chamje – the starting point of the trek. From there, our trail leads through beautifully terraced rice fields and through rhododendron forests as we pass along the charming villages with stunning views of Himalayas to reach the desert like Arctic zone at Manang. At Manang, we will take a day’s rest for acclimatization before continuing on our further trekking towards higher altitude. With a good day’s rest at Manang, we continue our trek towards higher altitude for the crossing of Thorong La Pass at 5416 meters – which is also the highest point on the entire trek. Our tiring ascends to the top of the pass is rewarded with striking views of mountains within Annapurna range to the south and Mukut Himal bordering Dolpo to the west. We will spend some time at the top of the pass and then follow the trail that descends steeply over scree and grassy meadows before arriving at Muktinath. Muktinath literally means ‘ Lord’s Salvation ’ and the temple complex is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. Our trail from there leads to Jomsom. Jomsom is an important hub for trekkers with an airstrip.

From Jomsom, there are two different options that we offer to our valued trekkers.

The first option is that we take a drive to Tatopani which takes about 3-4 hours of drive journey. Tatopani literally means ‘ Hot Water ‘ in Nepali language. Here we can relax and wash away our tiredness from the trekking at Natural Hot Spring. It is believed that the hot springs have potential to ease and even cure body aches and pains naturally. From Tatopani, our trek continues towards Ghorepani. Here we will accomplish a morning hike to Poonhill at 3210 meters for enjoying the sunrise view over the whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After that, we will trek downhill to reach Nayapul and then take a drive from there back to Kathmandu via Pokhara.

And the second option is that we take a direct flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Then drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu to end the memorable Annapurna Circuit Trek with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition.

Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit

Just arrived home from my third trip to Nepal and 5th trip arranged with Prakash at Nepal Guide! As expected we had a fantastic time moving about the country and mountains with Prakash handling all our logistics. This trip was a short trek in the Annapurna Conservation area, but we've done the Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit, as well as Lang Tang valley treks with Prakash's company and always had smooth transportation and accommodations. If he's available be sure to get Ang Dawa Sherpa as your guide, he's one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable guides you'll find in Nepal, plus he's a pleasure to chat with and knows the mountains as well as anyone. Looking forward to next year.

Ttreated with Respect and Honesty

It is hard to articulate how lucky and thankful I am that I walked into Nepal Guide Office from the first moment and first cup of tea I was treated with respect and honesty. There are so many trekking companies in KTM, it is almost impossible to know who to trust, my instinct, after visiting countless agencies, told me Prakash would make my trip memorable. He far and away exceeded my expectations; I first did the Annapurna Circuit Trek, what a way to first see Nepal! My guide was Rajan, he made me feel night at home and gave me such an ?inside? look at the scenery and Culture, I was then supposed to leave Nepal and travel to China. However I had such a great time on my first trek, I decided to stay and climb the Island Peak and do an Everest region trek. Prakash custom scheduled a trip for me. In a word, it was amazing! Again, Rajan was my guide for the trek. Ang Dawa was my climbing guide. I cannot say enough how much fun Island Peak Was. I have been traveling for quite a while and Prakash and Nepal Guide Treks are truly the capstore of my trip. Please feel free to email me with any questions or more info. Id love to talk about my adventures!
