Introduction;
Dhaulagiri High Pass Trek is an incredible experience of trekking for those who seek adventure around Dhaulagiri (8167 m) region - the world's 8th highest summit. The massive mountain range of Dhaulagiri consists of around fifteen peaks which are over 7000 meters. The trek includes the crossing of challenging French Pass (5360m) and Dhampus Pass (5260m). Stunning views over the high snow-capped mountains, crossing over the two challenging passes and walking right beside Kali-Gandaki Gorge - the world's deepest gorge is some of the features highlighted on this trek.

Dhaulagiri High Pass Trek with Nepal Guide Treks starts from beautiful lake city Pokhara - the gateway to Annapurna Trekking Region. From Pokhara, the trek starts, after few days walking the trail rests at the Italian Base Camp (3660m). Acclimatization is very necessary in high altitudes, so resting the following day is a very good option. Also, exploration at the Italian base camp can be made. A group of Italians were first to reach that destination, so the place is named after them. It is a very suitable place for camping. The trail heads up to Glacier Camp (4200m) and then to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4700m) after another day rest for acclimatization. Crossing the first pass - French Pass (5360m) the trail moves forward towards the Hidden Valley (5050m). Then, the trek from Hidden Valley to Yak Kharka is made crossing another pass - Dhampus Pass (5240m), then slowly to Jomsom. Taking a morning flight from Jomsom, the journey ends at Pokhara.
