Trip Introduction;
Lower Manaslu Eco Trek is a relatively new trekking that allows adventure trekkers to explore the first capital of Nepal - Gorkha. Gorkha is the birthplace of late King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who is famous for unification of small kingdoms in Nepal to form a single nation as modern Nepal in 1769. The region has abundance of historical and archaeological monuments along with its unique culture and traditions, standing it's ground as one of the featured tourist destinations of Nepal. The trek is the best way to experience the traditional Gurung villages of Barpak and Laprak while trekking along with great views of surrounding high mountains including mountain ranges of Manaslu, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fish-Tail) while being in the company of warm and friendly locals smiling at us. Lower Manaslu Eco Trek is an excellent choice for trekkers wanting to explore the natural, cultural as well as historical wonders of the mystical land of Nepal.

Lower Manaslu Eco Trek with Nepal Guide Treks starts at Kathmandu. After spending a full day sightseeing at Kathmandu valley, we will take three hours drive along the banks of Trishuli River towards Kurintaar. From there we will take a scenic  10 minutes cable car ride to reach Manakamana Temple. The first leg of our trek starts from here, following the trail we pass through Bakeshwor Mahadev Temple and continue trekking towards Ghairung. At Gorkha, we will have an excursion day where we can visit the historical Gorkha Palace, Gorkhanath Cave - situated only 10 meters below the palace and Gorkha Museum where we can observe the artifacts and remains of the historical monuments having significant roles in shaping Nepal's history. After spending a good day at Gorkha we will drive for approximately seven hours over the mountain roads overlooking Daraudi River towards Bachek. From Bachek we will make a short hike to reach the village of Sirandanda. The village is well known for its magnificent sunrise view over Manaslu Himalayan Ranges and has a rich diversity of medicinal herbs.
