Trip Introduction;
Ruby Valley Trek is one of the most popular and relatively new trekking route in the Mid West-Central Himalayan range of Nepal. Ruby Valley Trek has gained its popularity among trekkers and explorers mainly because the region is largely unexplored and less crowded compared to the popular trekking routes of Everest and Annapurna region. Ruby Valley Trek is the best way to explore the wide range of geographical diversity - covering Langtang National Park and Manaslu Conservation Area Project. The trek also allows us to witness and experience the fascinating cultural and biological diversity of several Nepalese tribe communities including mainly Tamang, Gurung, Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar and Chepang people with their distinct culture and tradition. Besides, we are rewarded with great views of Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, Manaslu and Langtang Himalayan Ranges. Ruby Valley Trek is surely the best option for trekkers wanting to explore the less visited region of Nepal that comprises of rich natural and hidden wonders of Nepal.

Ruby Valley Trek with Nepal Guide Treks starts at Kathmandu. After spending a good day sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, we will leave Kathmandu and drive towards Syabrubesi. From Syabrubesi we will take another short drive to Chawatar - starting point of the trek. As soon as we reach Chawatar, we will start our trek walking the less beaten trail that passes through beautiful terraced farmlands towards the traditional Tamang village of Gatlang. We continue our trekking ascending through Rhododendron and Pines filled forest to reach Yuri Kharka before descending down to Somdang river. Along with our scenic trekking route, we will pass a 200 meters magnificent waterfall known as Chukarma Waterfall. The area is well known for its precious ruby, copper, zinc and other minerals. From Somdang we will follow the trail that ascends gradually towards the Pasang La Pass at 3842 meters from where we will have incredible views of beautiful valleys and towering mountain ranges including Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Langtang. From the top of the pass, a gradual descend will lead us to Tipling. We continue to follow the trail passing through several traditional villages of Tamang communities towards Shertung also known as place of Gold. We can relax and wash off away our sweat and tiredness in the hot spring of Tatopani which is just about two hours hike from Shertung. From there we head towards Chalish Gaon where we will be meet people belonging to Gurung, Ghale and Kami tribes. We continue on our trekking trail passing through Deul danda, Gobre village, Chaap danda and Bhandari Bhir - popular rock climbing destination. Passing through several traditional Tamang villages and the dense Lishne jungle,  we will cross a suspension bridge to reach Jharlang. From here we follow a downhill route towards Jharlang Phedi with good views of surrounding natural wonders and Ankhu Khola towards Darkha Gaon. From here an easy downhill walk of about 45 minutes will lead us to Darkha Phedi, from here we will take a scenic drive over the bumpy zig-zag hilly road towards Dhading Besi. We are four people wanting to trek in Ruby Valley. We found Nepal Guide Treks in the internet and booked our Ruby Valley Trek. After finally completing the terrific trekking at Ruby Valley we feel extremely happy that we actually made one of the most remarkable journey in our lives. We trekked thorough fascinating villages with warm and friendly locals, their smile are still in our memories. Superb views of towering mountains and we actually met very few trekkers along the trekking trail. So, yeah it was peaceful and heavenly feeling. We loved it !! It is a must do trek for nature lovers. We would love to come and go on similar trekking routes with you next time we visit Nepal.

' Wonderful Trek to Ruby Valley '

I have just completed an incredible trekking to Ruby Valley. I booked my trek with Nepal Guide Treks and the service I got was of top level. Everything was well organized and I never had problems with anything. Everything went smoothly while I kept on exploring and discovering the natural wonders of the Ruby Valley. Great views of high mountain ranges from Ganesh Himal to Annapurna, Manaslu and Langtang. I enjoyed every part of my trek. I want to thank the whole team of Nepal Guide Treks for making this trek memorable and I will certainly be back to do more interesting treks with you in future. Highly recommended to everyone looking for the best trips in Nepal.
