Trip Introduction;
Tsum Valley is a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley located in the Manaslu region of Nepal. Tsum Valley was opened to tourists in the year 2002 and is becoming a popular side trip to the Manaslu Circuit. The word ‘Tsum’ is derived from the Tibetan word ‘Tsombo’ which literally means vivid. Most of the local people in Tsum Valley follow unique culture related to their ancient Tibetan traditions. Tsum Valley is widely recognized for its rich ancient art, culture and religion. The valley is surrounded by Baudha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south and Sringi Himal to the north. And the dense mixed pine forests fill the hills to the east of the valley. Cascading waterfalls, mountain fed rivers, dense forests, striking views of surrounding mountains and the unique culture of the local people is what makes Tsum Valley an excellent destination for keen trekkers and explorers.

Tsum Valley Trekking with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition starts at Kathmandu. After spending a full day sightseeing around the world heritage sites in Kathmandu we will take a scenic drive towards Soti Khola. We start our trek from Soti Khola as follow the trail that crosses the bridge over Budi Gandaki River. Then we continue to climb through pine forests to reach Lokpa. From here we can enjoy good views of Siyar and Budi Gandaki valleys. Our further trek passes along Chuling and Nile as we head towards the historic monasteries -Mu Gumba, Rachen Gumba and Gumba Lungden. Mu Gumba and Rachen Gumba are situated in the plateau nestled in the lap of the valley whereas Gumba Lungden is located at the base of the hill against the main slope of Ganesh Himal.
