Tharpu Chuli Peak is also known as Tent Peak. It was nicked named as Tent Peak by Jimmy Roberts in 1956. Situated in the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, Tharpu Chuli / Tent Peak is an attractive mountain that acts as a central driver between the semi-circle of peaks enclosing the Sanctuary. Considered as one of the easier peak among the climbing peaks, Tharpu Chuli Peak is one of the popular trekking peaks in the Annapurna Region. From the top of the summit, one can enjoy breathtaking views of Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna V 7525m, Annapurna South 7219m, Gangapurna 7455m, Fang 7647m, Machhapuchre (Fish-Tail) 6997m, Hiunchuli 6331m and Singu Chuli or Fluted Peak 6501m. Due to its comparatively low altitude and less technical sections, Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing is an excellent opportunity for beginner climbers to gain climbing experience.

After enjoying an early morning sunrise view over the stunning mountains from Ghorepani Poonhill, we continue to follow our trail towards Annapurna Base Camp. From here we continue further up to High Camp. At High Camp me take a day rest for acclimatization and preparation for climbing the summit. Properly acclimatized and well equipped, we head off for climbing the summit. The climb leads through some technical sections. Hence following the directions given by our experienced climbing experts and using the ropes, crampons, ice axes we ascend all the way to the summit of Tharpu Chuli / Tent Peak. Once at the top we are rewarded by the stunning views of Annapurna South 7219m, Hiunchuli 6331m, Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna V 7525m, Gangapurna 7455m, Machhapuchre (Fish-Tail) and Singu Chuli Peak 6501m. After achieving the summit our return journey heads back to Annapurna Base Camp. We descend all the way down to Dhapus Phedi and take a drive from there to reach Pokhara.
