What Our Client Says?
"I was so blown away, I made it  my career"
Trekking to Everest Base Camp was a very long held ambition which I finally achieved three years ago. I was so blown away by my experience that, when I came back, I changed careers and joined Nepal Guide Treks & Expedition- the trekking company that I travelled with.

Now I spend my days talking to people about trekking holidays in the Himalaya, looking at photos from treks to Everest Base Camp and helping other trekkers achieve this fantastic goal. Of course, there are many other classic walks around the world but the Everest Base Camp trek remains the most iconic and desirable of all.

Now there are several variations on the classic route that can take you not only to Everest Base Camp, but also into the more remote areas of the Khumbu.

For that reason, it seemed like a good idea to set up a website to share my passion for the Everest Base Camp trek and the others in the region, along with useful information, helpful tips and some stunning images. So, now there's no reason for you not to put on those walking boots and start planning for the trek of your life.

Hiking in Nepal

Nepal is pretty much best known for the wonderfully beautiful mountains that surround it, which is why it is not at all surprising that one of the more appealing tours that one could take when one is in Nepal would have to be the Nepal hiking tours. Simply put, there are people who would like to experience what the hill and mountain regions of Nepal are like, and would thus go on a little trip to find out. Nepal hiking tours, despite the reputation of the Nepal hiking ranges, are leisurely and relatively relaxing trips that would give people a chance to take in everything that the terrain of Nepal has to offer. There are, of course, the standard hiking trails that are regularly used for official Nepal hiking tours – these are recommended, evidently – and there are trails that are a little more difficult to bear mostly for those who want to have a bit of a challenge. Either way, Nepal hiking tours are ideal for individuals or groups of individuals who are only in Nepal for a limited amount of time: Nepal hiking tours are known to last for only half a day or only a day at most. Families can can enjoy some of the easier Nepal hiking tour packages. Following are some of the most popular hiking sites: -

kakaniKakani
Kakani is a popular hiking destination for the magnificent views of Annapurna (8091m), Manasalu (8165m), Ganesh Himal (7446m), Lantang lirung (7245m) and 24 other peaks. The place is the best to have an eagle eye view of the Kathmandu valley. This is a one-day trip from Kathmandu.

This hike starts with the approximately 01 hour drive to Pharping (south - west) of Kathmandu. Pharping (19 Km.) is the typical Newari town, surprisingly untouched by the swarm of tourists that visit Dakshinkali (separate spot following the same road). Before the 1st Shaha King Prithvi Narayan Shaha, unified Nepal this was another tiny city-state. Walk for about 03 hours to the Champadevi Hill. Have a pack lunch there. The magnificent views of Kathmandu Valley, Kirtipur & others are seen from here. After lunch descend down to the Kirtipur in about 02 hours. Kirtipur (6 Km. southwest) is an ancient hill top town. From here drive back to KTM. This hike consists of about 5-6 hours walk.

It is about 10km from the downtown Kathmandu. There is medieval shrine at the top. Both Buddhist and Hindus revere it. To reach the top one has to climb for about 15 to 20 minutes. From this point a panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges can be seen.

dhulikhelDhulikhel
Dhulikhel (32 Km. northeast) is popular as a Himalayan Viewing Point with Newari settlement. Drive for about 35 minutes to Banepa and visit to nearby Panauti. This is an ancient riverside town of temples and inns. There are number of religious sites to should be visited. Indreshwar Mahadev Temple dedicated to Shiva, Bhairab Temple and the whole tiny city itself are remarkable to be witnessed. Have the pack lunch and after the further exploration drive back to Kathmandu. This hike consists of about 6-7 hours walk.
