Besides, Langtang National Park is home to many species of wildlife including the rare Snow Leopard and Himalayan Red Panda along with different varieties of rare flora and fauna - dense forests filled of Rhododendrons, Oaks, Hemlocks and different kinds of Pine trees. During the spring and summer, this region turns into a natural garden full of beautiful wild flowers covering the hills making Langtang and Helambu Region one of the most enchanting spot on this planet.
Three glaciers converge at Langshisa Kharka to form the Langtang Khola that flows east to west between the chains of Langtang and Kangja Himalayan ranges. The river valleys and ridges that shapes the south facing flanks of Kangja Himal is known as Helambu. There are several trekking trails through Helambu that links the sacred lakes of Gosaikunda, Panch Pokhari and Bhairav Kunda and to the traditional villages in the back drop of towering mountain ranges including Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, Dorje-Lakpa and other surrounding peaks. Trekking in this region has been an idle destinations for all kinds of travelers - moderate, adventurous to challenging adventure with three challenging passes: Kangja (Ganja) La, Tilman Pass and Tilman East Pass in the perfect tranquility of high mountains, breathtaking valleys and glacial lakes in this beautiful region of Langtang and Helambu.
