Trip Introduction :
Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trek Nepal Named after the Hindu elephant God – Ganesh, the Ganesh Himal is a gathering of six major peaks that form a natural barrier with Tibet. Situated in the Midwest-Central Himalayan range of the country, to the west of the Langtang Valley, the range is bordered by the Budhi Gandaki River to the west and extensive forest to the south of Dhading district.
Ethnic tribes of Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Larke, and Siar dominates the inhabitants throughout the whole valley. Likewise, Trek also offers an opportunity for trekkers to walk around the calm and less beaten areas of this region which is relatively unexplored with the stunning views of fascinating surrounding peaks.
Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trek with Nepal Guide Treks begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Samari Bhanjyang via Trishuli Bazaar – the starting point of the trek. From here we start our trekking passing through terraced farming grounds and traditional villages. Making a gradual ascend and descend journey our trail leads towards Ganesh Himal Base Camp.
Along the route we have stunning views of Ganesh I 7422m, Ganesh II 7118m, Ganesh III 7043m, Ganesh IV 7104m, Ganesh VI 6908m and other surrounding high peaks. At Base Camp, we take a day rest for exploration around the Kalo Seto Kunda – Black and White Lake. The crystal stones around here are considered precious, so collecting some of the memory might be a good idea. After spending a good time at the Base Camp, our return journey follows an alternative route that passes along Laba Besi, Majhgaun, Budathum to reach Arughat Bazaar. Our wonderful trekking experience to Ganesh Himal Trek with Nepal Guide Treks ends with a drive from Arughat Bazaar back to Kathmandu.
